WHO are we looking for?In this position, you will work with various functional groups (engineering, operations, quality, etc.), to track program progress, and to execute tasks necessary to meet program objectives. The main focus of the Program Engineer will be the development and implementation of new product designs, and continuous improvement in the execution of manufacturing for typically low quantity production of specialty products. The Program Management Department is responsible for Program Execution, including development and delivery of complex battery products, in compliance with technical requirements, program schedule and program budget. A Program Engineer's function is to support the Program Manager and to facilitate the accomplishment of work at the task level in order to move the program forward.What will you DO?A' . Track and complete program tasks for development & manufacturing of complex battery systems, from fast-paced development to production type programs. A' . Assist in product and process design to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and total program cost. This can include synthesizing and developing program budgets and generating valid CTC estimates. A' . Learn project parameters to formulate appropriate responses to the client. This can be done by employing change management skills to identify scope creep, and by working directly with the PM and our contracts department.A' . Contribute to program & participate in team settings. Communicate ideas clearly. Listen to the inputs of others and process that input for better outcomes.A' . Analyze information/data to make sound day to day decisions. Escalate issues when appropriate.What experience do you NEED? A' . A Bachelor of Science in Engineering (or related field). A' . Qualified applicants will have at least three to five years of related experience. A' . Candidates must be detail-oriented problem solvers, with demonstrated follow-through. What experience would be HELPFUL to have? A' . Familiarity within an engineering/manufacturing environment (that incorporate lean and six sigma practices) is highly preferred. A' . Coming to the table with past project engineering or applications engineering would be extremely beneficial. A' . Additional experience with project management, process engineering or test engineering would also be suitable. A' . Knowledge of battery products would be helpful but is not necessary. What TECHNOLOGY should you have used?A' . Candidates should be well-versed users of Microsoft Office Products (MS Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word).
