A$ A' "A' ?POSITION SUMMARYProvide technical leadership for full vehicle E/E architecture documentation, analysis and optimization. Lead interface to customer for customer change control, technical, issues, and program engineering deliverables. Support continuous improvement of the design.Location: Irvine, CA. Remote -Can be located anywhere within the US with travel to CA to be on site 4 to 8 weeks a year when needed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESE/E Architecture definitionA cents € cents Work with customer engineers and Yazaki team to define overall vehicle electrical architecture.A cents € cents Perform trade off analysis to optimize architecture to meet customer objectives.A cents € cents Work with Yazaki colleagues to define component requirements for EDS, Electronics and other strategic components.Customer Change ControlA cents € cents Maintain customer part release system per statement of workA cents € cents Communicate to customer the content and status of the design, design changes, and build requirementsA cents € cents Provide customer responses for cost studiesA cents € cents Update engineering issues in customer change management systemsCustomer and Internal Design RequirementsA cents € cents Ensure design meets customer objective and internal requirementsA cents € cents Lead cross functional teams to perform trade off studies between cost/weight/performance/complexity/etc.A cents € cents Manage documentation throughout life of the programA cents € cents Collaborate with DVP&R (Design Verification Process & Report) team to validate customer requirementsA cents € cents Support product DFMEAs (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) & functional safety analysis.A cents € cents Evaluate information provided by the customer as applied to the product/project for completeness and accuracyEngineering Customer InterfaceA cents € cents Engage with customer and Yazaki engineers to support problem resolutionA cents € cents Support YNA Engineering at customer change control meetings and design reviews (eg, technical design review, digital buck review, system compatibility review, etc.)A cents € cents Support YNA manufacturing to customer to support YNA DFM (Design for Manufacturing) guidelinesA cents € cents Support vehicle builds and launches at customer pilot and assembly plantsContinuous Improvement of the DesignA cents € cents Generate cost savings ideas and attend VAVE (Value Analysis Value Engineering) workshopsA cents € cents Trace technical issues and problems to root causeA cents € cents Support customer initiatives such as cost and warranty reduction activities, etc.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSDegree Requirements: BSEE or equivalent experience.
