Our innovative solutions and customer focused approach provide our clients with unmatched value and quality.Basic Position Summary: Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager in managing all aspects of a construction project including the field operations and project administration. This position is predominately based in the field.Responsibilities/FunctionsAssists with pre-construction activities as needed: construction planning and design; interpretation of design and drawingsHas a clear understand specifications, drawings, standards, and subcontractor & supplier scope of work, etc.Demonstrates, communicates, and reinforces the all Company safety policies and procedures.Interprets specifications, designs and drawings and prepares quantity takeoffsPrepares drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, estimates, etc.Verifies work-in-place quantities for invoicing/pay quantities;Maintains submittal logs and timely receipt and review of submittals and shop drawingsEnsures craft time cards are completed accurately, reflecting hours worked and tasks worked on; verifies cost codes to all purchases, time cards, contracts, equipment time and any other item involving costMaintains as-built drawings; posts RFI, bulletin and ASI as appropriateMaintains RFI logsParticipates in constructability reviews and value engineering functionsDevelops, implements and administers project engineering procedures and other work documents; tracks and logs documentationTakes weekly jobsite photographsWorks with the Safety Department to insure that project safety records are accurately maintainedAssists in quality control activitiesAssists in preparing project status reports and participates in project status meetings; assists in development of meeting minutesAssists in project close-out activitiesMay support estimates as neededPerforms additional assignments per supervisor's directionEssential Skills And Experience4 year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and related experience0 - 2 years of field construction experienceE.I.T. preferred but not requiredAbility to read and interpret plansExcellent computer skillsBasic understanding of cost analysisExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to travel as requiredBenefit Summary:Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, 401K Plan, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Paid Time Off, Paid HolidaysCore Values:Work Safely: Safety is Fay's CultureValue People: Take Care of Employees and They Will Take Care of ClientsAct with Integrity: Honesty Builds TrustProvide Solutions: Better Solutions Yield Greater Satisfaction S&B USA Construction and all of its affiliate companies are proud to be Equal Opportunity Employers.
