A$ A' "A' ?ROLEWe need an experienced Android Developer for the Foreign Service Institute (FSI). The Foreign Service Institute is the United States federal government's primary training institution for employees of the US foreign affairs community, preparing American diplomats as well as other professionals to advance US foreign affairs interests overseas and in Washington. In this role, you will be a key player in mobile functional design, UI/UX design, Android development, and the automated testing of mobile and web-based products. This is a full-time position through March 1, 2023. We anticipate the role will become more permanent based on the individual's performance. Design, develop, and maintain data-driven, modular, scalable, and reusable Android apps in foreign languagesA' . Use Java and Android Studio for Google Play Store, the FSI Enterprise App Store, and government equipmentA' . Integrate back-end Android APIs and third-party Android libraries as neededA' . Collaborate in an agile environment with stakeholders and the mobile teamA' . Develop technical ideas and guide their development into a final productA' . Apply knowledge of Android frameworksA' . Provide insight into the limitations and consequences of specific iOS design and development decisionsA' . Develop automated tests and scripts and conducting automated testing of Android appsA' . Track and update changes using code version control software/services, such as Git.A' . Identify and correct functional, performance, and UI issuesA' . Maintain consistent standard of code quality and organizationA' . Support Android and web development using Java, Android Studio, and other tools as neededA' . Collaborate with the cross-functional Mobile Team to define, design, and deploy new products and featureA' . Ensure new products and features meet customer, project, and regulatory (508) requirements KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSA' . Experience with XCode and NodeJS.A' . Experience working with foreign languagesA' . Ability to develop and apply technologies, engineering principles, theories, and concepts to mobile solutionsA' . Experience planning, designing, and engineering advanced Android applicationsA' . Background in app development, integration, implementation, and testingA' . Experience with Java, Android Studio, Objective-C, HTML, JS, CSS, and PythonEDUCATIONA' .
