At Apogee Research we work hard, we get things done, and we do it together. We currently have an opening for an Experimentation Engineer (Software) full-time located in our Arlington, VA office. Our ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor able to design, implement, and test algorithmically complex software to meet user-facing requirements and is also capable of working with small teams to successfully explore, develop, and maintain complex software systems. All candidates must have or be eligible to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, therefore all candidates must be a US Citizen to apply. Position Responsibilities:Perform hands-on technical work including design and development of algorithmically complex software, performance profiling, optimization, and general troubleshooting for a variety of software stacks spanning from C/C++, Java, and Python to project-specific DSLsDevelop approaches to rigorously test and evaluate software (both internally developed and externally created) to measure and assess both functional and performance attributesHelp maintain software infrastructure (code repos, CI/CD, testing, etc.) in both local and cloud instancesLearn new technologies and develop fundamentally new approaches as neededWork with internal and external development teams (across subcontractors, co-contractors, and the government) to create integrated software products Minimum Qualifications:All candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance; therefore, any applicant MUST BE A US CITIZENRelevant knowledge/experience with statistical methods and hypothesis testingRelevant programming knowledge/experience with Python, Java, or C/C++ Minimum Education:Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related technical fieldAbout Apogee ResearchApogee Research focuses on bringing cutting-edge research into practice for the Intelligence and DoD communities.
