Assistant Coach Women's SoccerThis full-time, year-round position provides an assistant coach for the women's soccer program in Athletics. This position will provide support in the overall organization and management of the women's soccer program while reporting to the head women's soccer coach.George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.Responsibilities:Team training session planning and executing on-field instruction;Individual player development through on-field & video instruction;Recruiting of future student-athletes;Scouting of future opponents;Administrative duties;Monitoring NCAA compliance;Promoting the women's soccer program; andManaging ordering and distributing team and staff equipment and gear.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4-year institution;Collegiate soccer playing experience (generally 4 years);United States Soccer Federation or United Soccer Coaches license;Demonstrated college coaching and/or high-level competitive club coaching experience (generally 3+ years);CPR and First Aid Certification;Physical ability to fulfill duties of the position by having the mobility needed to demonstrate skills and manage the movement required in training/contests;Knowledge of NCAA and Atlantic-10 Conference rules and regulations;Able to demonstrate successful skills in cooperation, organization, communication, and problem-solving;Able to be successful in a diverse environment; andSome types of specialized experience such as leadership development, culture building experience, mental health certification, social media/brand building background, etc.
