Utilimaster Fleet Vehicles & Services Product Line In your role as Electrical Engineer, you will be expected to embrace the Project Design function and provide electrical engineering solutions and wiring harness designs that interface with the chassis that our vehicles our built on. In addition, you will be accountable for managing the design projects and will often collaborate with R&D to vet out the solutions to achieve a viable electrical solution. The Shyft Group - Employee Testimonials Landisville, PA - #1 in Best Place to Buy a House in Lancaster County (Niche.com) About Landisville, PA (via BestPlaces.net) Landisville, PA Overview (via Data USA) What You'll Be Doing Designing and documenting new electrical wiring harness designs that interface with our truck chassis and other electrical components Producing electrical engineering documentation such as schematic drawings, harness drawings, design manual content, and operation and troubleshooting guides Maintaining documentation related to electrical schematics Providing electrical engineering support for prototyping and production issues Investigating production issues, driving to the root cause, identifying solutions, implementing resolutions, and processing approved engineering change requests Developing test requirements and coordinating component and system testing, including analysis of results and participation in the testing, as required Collaborating with suppliers to spec electrical components Representing company at industry and technical forums Inspecting the vehicle's electrical and mechanical systems Analyzing electrical and mechanical vehicle systems, including DC and AC electrical systems Developing complete, accurate, and timely engineering bills of materials Coordinating design requirements, application reviews, and engineering releases in partnership with selected suppliers Identifying and implementing design enhancements to reduce costs and improve performance Completing complex circuit analysis for responsible systems Aiding with electrical systems for multiple departments Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related engineering discipline A solid amount of entry-level engineering experience or completed internships in an engineering capacity Expertise in 2D AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks Comfortable working in a shop floor environment Knowledge of automotive, truck, or other heavy equipment electrical systems Previous experience working with electrical systems in a manufacturing environment Solid grasp of troubleshooting DC circuits and root cause analysis What Makes You Stand Out 3+ years of electrical engineering experience within a manufacturing environment Ability to find solutions to problems when you don't know how to resolve them Emotional Intelligence Familiarity with Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) methodologies We are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a culturally diverse workforce.
