Affordable Relationship Manager - Senior Director

Capital One Bank, N.A, is the sixth largest bank in the U.S. by loans and 8th largest bank in the U.S. by deposits, and is active in all aspects of the commercial real estate arena with extensive experience in permanent and construction loans for a broad range of projects, including multifamily housing, healthcare, retail, office buildings, student housing, industrial and parking facilities.

Our Multifamily Finance Team is one of the largest originators of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA loans, supported by over 200 associates and generating close to $10 billion in annual loan volume.

This position will be responsible for partnering with Capital One's Community Finance team to source Affordable Agency loans as well as construction and LIHTC opportunities.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Product specialist for Affordable Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA lending
  • Partner with associates in the Agency Finance group and Community Finance group to source Agency loans from existing and new relationships
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with developing and maintaining loan processes and transaction management
  • Establishes and implements a sales strategy; interacts with customers or potential customers to explain Capital One products and services
  • Prospect for potential customers in addition to leveraging existing Community Finance relationships
  • Effectively utilize LIHTC and Construction debt products to bring in new business


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 9 years of experience in Agency Affordable Underwriting or 9 years of experience in Production
  • At least 9 years of experience in Relationship Management


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
