The duties and responsibilities for a 0301 Policy Analyst generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Providing oversight in the development and formulation of proposed policy, protocols, and guidelines.
  • Prepares policy-related material for use by grantees and domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking arena as well as briefing materials to in speeches for the leadership.
  • Develops a range of authoritative high-quality written and briefing materials to include policy reports and memorandum for the leadership offices.
  • Participating in decision-making sessions with management officials.

    • You must be a United States Citizen or National.
    • You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.
    • You may be required to complete a one-year probationary or trial period.

    Qualifications

    To qualify for the position of Policy Analyst, (GS-0301-12/13), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to the series and grade you are applying to.

    To qualify for the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
  • Reviewing and identifying the need for changes within current policy, protocol, and guidance.
  • Communicate in writing to produce clear and concise policy documents, memorandum, briefings, presentations, and summaries and reports related to domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and/or stalking.
  • To qualify for the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
  • Identifying and assessing the need for changes within current policy, protocol, and guidance.
  • Developing or managing policy related to domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and/or stalking;
  • Participates in research and data analysis activities.
