GEICO Technology Solutions' Customer Correspondence team is looking for a highly motivated mid-level Engineer to assist with building modern cutting-edge solutions and services to deliver digital correspondence platform across all communication channels. GEICO Technology Customer Correspondence team is responsible for building Enterprise services and solutions to support both paper and electronic customer correspondence that are consumed by Tech Sales and Service applications across multiple lines of business (Auto, Commercial, Umbrella and MOAT). We utilize modern development platforms and languages to develop custom solutions / services that enhance GEICO's digital capabilities in Customer correspondences for all lines of business. Well-qualified candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate ability to coordinate efforts across functional areas. Responsibilities Include: The ideal candidate will work with other engineers on designing and implementing solutions using Microsoft .Net technology stack and tools Azure SDKs, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, SQL and NoSQL (Cosmos DB). Participate in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization Influence product definition and leverage technical skills to drive towards the right solution Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems. Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle. Required Skills: Strong understanding of web servers and the web application hosting runtime. Understanding of Azure PaaS (Cloud Services and AKS) and IaaS services. Familiarity with Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth. Strong understanding of .Net Frameworks and associated runtime environments. Strong understanding of HTML-5, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, XML, JSON and RESTful Web Services. Experience using frameworks such as Angular, ASP.Net MVC, .Net Core. Experience use of Visual Studio 2019/2022, VS Code and VSTS GIT for source control and Azure DevOps CICD. Experience writing unit tests using unit testing frameworks like MoQ, Fakes Micro-services-oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs Must be able to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and have strong organization/priority setting skills. Must be able to multi-task. Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information, and to follow published standards and processes. May be required to be on call for production support 24x7. Must be able to demonstrate a capacity to learn new technical concepts and to adapt to new technologies quickly. Desired Skills: PowerShell scripting skills Existing Operational Portals such as Azure Portal Monitoring Portals: Splunk or Application Insights Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) Object oriented programming skills and awareness SOLID design patterns a strong plus.
