Overview Engineer (BDEPT-2022-17726-W) Bowhead is currently seeking Entry Level Engineers or Scientists to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), specifically the Electromagnetic and Sensor Systems Department (B Department) through the Radar Systems Division (B40) and the Sensor Data Exploitation Division (B60) to support multiple Navy and Marine Corps Radar Systems. Responsibilities This support shall be provided in the general Sensor Work Areas of: Requirements Development, Systems Engineering, Analysis, Modeling, Hardware Design, Signal Processing, Sensor Operation, Test and Evaluation, Sensor Certification, and Sensor Requirement Verification, in support of existing, near term, and out-year projects, programs, technology developments, technology insertions, prototyping and technology demonstrations and related acquisition efforts. Desired candidate attributes include: MATLAB programming and analysis skills Ability to perform detailed and complex calculations Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish assigned tasks Qualifications Education Requirements: Candidates must have one or more of the following before June 2023: Bachelor s degree from a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics Master s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 15 to 25 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
