Experience & Requirements* Must hold either an LCADC, LGADC, CAC-AD, CSC-AD, Trainee Status.* Maintain state requirements for current licensure.* CPR certification.* Prior clinical experience working with substance abuse or related fields preferred; have familiarity with relevant research literature, clinical assessments, procedures and methods, particularly those designed for substance abuse; have ability to assess treatment, goals and write goal-directed, individualized treatment plans; have ability to monitor and document individual behavior patterns and modify treatment plans; and be familiar with diagnostic nomenclature outlined in the most recent Diagnostic and Statistical Manual.* Correctional experience preferred.A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.YesCare is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. EOE including Disability/Protected Veterans.ResponsibilitiesBelow is a list of your responsibilities as a Methadone Counselor with YesCare at (Facility Name) located in (City, State):* Provide individual counseling to inmates battling substance abuse.* Maintain therapeutic contact with methadone patient during their time in the treatment program.* Maintain assigned caseload and provide case management for patients.* Maintain timely and appropriate patient charts. This will include: Initial Intake Assessment, Initial Treatment Plan, Monthly Follow-up, 90-Day Treatment Plan Review and Progress Notes.* Maintain close communication with Methadone Counselor Supervisor (LCADC), Addiction Specialist physician, and other program staff.* You will be supervised by a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor.* Adhere to all State, Federal and Program regulations and procedures regarding methadone treatment.* Refer clients on an as-needed basis to other community services.* Develop contracts for problematic clients inclusive of detox and maintenance programs.* Maintain communication between methadone program and outside agencies when appropriate.* Communicate clearly and cooperatively with staff and clients.* Work within program's quality assurance guidelines.* Participate in professional development training throughout the year; participate in safety training.* Follow established company policies and those outlined in the program policies and employee handbook.* Perform other duties as assigned.YesCare (only applicable for full-time positions)* Health, Dental and Vision Insurance* Life and Disability Insurance* Generous PTO plan* 401k with matching funds* Employee Discount and Rewards Program* Tuition Assistance* Continuing Education ReimbursementAbout YesCare HealthCorrectional healthcare is not just a job.
