Vice President of Sales-Nuclear (Remote)A Talascend client in the nuclear industry is seeking a Vice President of Sales.This position can be based remotely.Please note that extensive experience and depth of knowledge in the nuclear sector is required for this role.Summary/ObjectivePrimarily a sales role addressing our overall Engineering Services capabilities (Design, Simulation, & Performance)Essential FunctionsThe Sales Leader is responsible for all commercial sales activities, from lead generation through close for a defined territory. In this position, the Sales Leader is responsible for delivering a quota and maximizing sales revenue, solution identification, application deployment/penetration and expanding the company s overall relationship with the customer as a trusted partner for their digital simulation training and engineering needs. The role involves selling current products & services directly to end users along with consultative solution development, and engaging stakeholders, primarily via face-to-face, at both plant and headquarter locations.Responsibilities include:Revenue generation and managing a quotaStrategic development/planning for the process segmentAbility to structure Enterprise solutions for key opportunities/customersSuggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet client needsHandle complaints and problems in a timely and effective mannerAct as the liaison between key customers and internal teamsIdentify and approach new potential logo customersMonitor sales performance metricsPrepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and forecastsTargets Existing Generation, New Reactor Designs (SMR s), and Integration with Renewables with strong focus on existing nuclear generation fleet.o Other pieces are plus but can be added to solid existing plants nuclear backgroundo Readily connects with our decarbonization focuso Budgeting process logistics (utility)o Fund redirects and associated drivers for emergent or newly discovered opportunities external to budgeted itemso Approval Cycles and threshold levelsCompetencies1. Strong leadership abilityExperience:Bachelor s degree in Business or related major; MBA preferable15+ years in nuclear service salesBroad / comprehensive experience across nuclear power industry with detailed exposure or interface with Project Life Cycleso Sales or significant project experience external to Utility Clients coupled with prior Client Utility experience preferredo Adequate Technical Exposure mixed with Logistical & Financial parameter details such as VP Projects or similar exposureo How projects are identified and approved on client sideStrong understanding of Industry history and current driverso Task / scope reductions and near term positive ROIo Client Competitive Pressures natural gaso Engineering Work Arrangements and variations eg EOC / SEOC/ OthersWell connectedo Strong industry relationshipso Comfortable and strong with direct In person or telephone communicationsNeeds to have a strong Closer mentalityo Take down barriers to sale move across finish line in cohesive timely fashion can ask for the dealo Complements our fairly aggressive opportunity generationo Can advance conceptual themes with Strong ROI potentials (TSM / DVR)o Product and Service combined sales or project background would be a pluso Creative sales strategies and technique examples
