Space Database/Web ManagerGeorge Mason University is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person for a Space Database and Web Manager position in the Office of Capital Strategy and Planning. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff and strongly encourages candidates to apply, who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.About the Department:The Capital Strategy and Planning Department works with George Mason's leadership, schools, and units to align long-range capital planning with operational budgets and Mason's Strategic Plan. This includes development of the 6-Year Capital Plan, Mason's Master Plan, capital and space planning studies, project funding plans in collaboration with Mason's Treasurer, and approval of space and capital project requests across multiple campuses comprised of approximately 9M square feet. In coordination with Facilities, the Registrar's Office and Real Estate, the Space Management team works with campus units to develop space need projections, occupancy guidelines, process space assignment requests and compile space data reports for regulatory compliance, utilization, data validation and capital project planning. Space Management maintains an accurate inventory of data use which is validated through periodic space surveys and coordination with Unit Space Liaisons. Space Management participates in campus initiatives and projects relating to space use, the Revenue and Cost Allocation Model, and works closely with the Department's Campus Planners and Facilities in support of new construction and renovation projects.Responsibilities:Duties include but are not limited to:Website maintenance such as updating content information for Capital Strategy & Planning web pages; adding new web pages in line with established design of existing pages; adding and removing content to existing pages;Posting news releases and/or update announcements; adding/deleting and updating contact information; ensuring all links are fresh and link appropriately with update URL's; replace or add images as appropriate; create PDF's and upload;Assists the Sr. Space Manager in creating space surveys: develops, updates, and maintains CAD building floorplans; andAssists in long and short-term space planning and provides graphical and space data as required in support of capital project planning and implementation. Prepares presentations and documentation as required for space assignment requests and approvals.Required Qualifications:Experience in personal computers and AutoCAD;Ability to think three dimensionally and put ideas to paper within a short period of time;Solid foundation of web-based and desktop computer analytical and graphic design software (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Creative Cloud, Photoshop, SQL, AutoCAD, GIS, WordPress, Drupal); andExperience with space management databases (Archibus or similar).Preferred Qualifications:Solid foundation of experience in databases; knowledgeable and increasing in productivity of AutoCAD software; andResearch and provide solutions to analyze our space database information as it relates to the strategic master plan.
