Westat is seeking Statisticians to join our internationally respected, highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team. The position includes developing
sample designs, sampling frames, imputation methods, weighting schemes and variance estimation methods, data preparation and cleaning, data
analysis, and statistical modeling for a wide variety of studies.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop sample designs; construct appropriate sample frames and select samples.
• Develop weighting, nonresponse adjustment and imputation procedures; implement methods for estimation of sampling errors.
• Prepare and clean data for statistical purposes, perform statistical analyses and modeling.
• Perform project quality review and prepare deliverables.
Basic Qualifications
A Master's degree in Statistics or Data Science. Qualified students must complete their degree by December 31, 2022.
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate with non-statisticians.
• Candidates will benefit from knowing R, SAS, or other statistical software.
Minimum Qualifications
• Demonstrated communication skills
• Collaboration with teams, managers and/or clients
• Organization skills, including time management ability
• Detail oriented
