Westat is seeking eQIP Agents to join its team on a national education study. We are seeking energetic, self-motivated professionals, who are dependable, have good attention to detail, and is deadline driven. 
 
Job Responsibilities:
As an eQIP Agent, the applicant will have a broad array of responsibilities. eQIP Agents have to update eQIP applicant statuses and upload documents into a Dept. of ED system called ICAM. This system monitors the status of all eQIP applicants, and it is absolutely important that no mistakes are made in this system. Whenever a change is made in this system or a document has been uploaded, the eQIP Agent who made the change is responsible for alerting the Dept. of ED ICAM team via email. eQIP Agents are also responsible for helping applicants with their application over the phone. This whole process can sometimes take up to two hours, so patience is key.  Additionally, eQIP Agents will have to mail out packets (via inter-office mail as well as FedEx), email applicants directly, schedule phone calls, is comfortable or willing to learn WebEx, check voicemail and put together hardcopy information packets. 

Qualifications/Requirements:
·    Must be a citizen of the United States and will have to go through the e-QIP background clearance process to work in this position
·    Must have excellent attendance at the on-site location in Gaithersburg, MD
·    Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to speak with a broad range of people over the phone. 
·    Must display a professional demeanor and have a “team player” attitude 
·    Must be able to multitask and complete a broad array of tasks accurately and in a timely manner each day
·    Must be accurate and detail-orientated 

This is an on-site position in Gaithersburg, Maryland in an environment that allows for social distancing and provides sanitizing supplies for work areas. These assignments are temporary hourly positions. Benefits are based on hours worked and tenure. Any offer of employment may be contingent upon receipt of acceptable results from a post-offer background screening, if required for the position, based on the specific position, which may include, for example, identity verification, employment history, or criminal records history.
