Adventist HealthCare is seeking to hire an experienced full-time Program Coordinator II who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As a Program Coordinator II, you will:
•Prepare docket to include all patients whose status is involuntary in the hospital, listing them by unit and fax to OPD (Office of Public Defender) and OAH (Office of Administrative hearings).
•Review involuntary patient's charts, including reason for psychiatric evaluation, clinical information and need for psychiatric inpatient hospitalization.
•Develop plan for every Involuntary patient. Review with physicians and determine postponement, discharge, appropriateness for voluntary or hearing. Send updated plan for patients to PD and Council for the hospital.
•Coordinate with patient's treatment team as well as the public defender to schedule and represent hospital in IVA hearings.
•Prepare for and present case on behalf of hospital during IVA hearings, including clinical review panels and appeal. Assist with Pre-Hearing meeting activities, if needed.
Qualifications Include:
•Minimum of bachelor's degree in Political Science or Social Work. Preferred: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Mental Health or related Behavioral Health Science field (i.e. Social Work, or Professional Counseling).
•Minimum two (2) years' experience in the areas of acute mental healthcare in an inpatient, outpatient or legal setting preferred
•Preferred Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) or Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW), Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGPC), Licensed Bachelor of Social Work (LBSW). In lieu of licensure then paralegal or related field.
•Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8am- 5pm (may need to rotate weekends)
