Adventist HealthCare is seeking to hire an experienced full-time Lead Behavioral Health Therapist who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Lead Behavioral Health Therapist, you will:
•Coordinates and participates in involuntary (IVA) commitment and other related hearings for psychiatric inpatients with the patient's treatment team, the office of the public defender and the office of administrative hearings
•Identify and prepare cases for inpatients scheduled for IVA hearings on a weekly basis through chart reviews and consultation with the treatment team, and in accordance to COMAR regulations
•Collect and present pertinent patient information, including assessments, documentation and testimony by expert witnesses
•Represent the hospital and treatment team to best meet the needs of the patient, by providing expert witness testimony in court proceedings through a combination of patient evaluation, medical chart review, discussions with treatment providers and witnesses, and direct examination/cross-examination from Prosecution/Defense attorneys
•Prepare docket and provides timely communication to OPD (Office of Public Defender) and OAH (Office of Administrative hearings).

Qualifications Include:
•Master's Degree in Social Work /Counseling or equivalent Master's Degree in a recognized health field
•2-5 years' experience preferred
•LCSW-C/LCPC in the State of Maryland
•Supervisory Credential assigned by the State Board of Social Workers or the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors

Free clinical supervision for LMSW and LGPC team members (individual and group) who are working toward advanced licensure

Qualifying non-profit employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program for eligible Full Time employees

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8am- 5pm (may need to rotate weekends)
