Financial Analysts -perform financial data analysis in preparing Profit & Loss or other statements and frequently -build reports for higher level associates; provide management and business clients with -project statuses; perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc -requests.Roles require strong communication, problem solving, strategic thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively:Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insightsDevelop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior audiences - -Sr. AssociateResponsibilities:Financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) managementCollaborate with system analysts to maintain and develop system to house modelsCoordinate and collect input data from Financial Analysts in different departments, check data integrity, summarize and convert data, run models, verify, analyze, and communicate output dataBusiness presentations: Assist in development of presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences, clearly articulate outcomes of analysis to leadership teamsAd-hoc requests and special projectsIndependently manage and prioritize workloadPerform financial data analysis in preparing Profit & Loss or other statementsFrequently create reports for higher level associatesProvide management and business clients with project statusesPerform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requestsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or military experience -At least 1 year experience in financial analysisAt least 1 year experience with financial modelingPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative major (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering) or military experience -Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) Accounting, Finance, or Economics -Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license2 years' experience in financial analysis2 years' experience with financial modeling1 year experience in technology or financial services -1 year experience partnering with internal stakeholders -Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.SQL and Python skills -At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.Location is New York City- $96,254 and $113,558 for Sr. Financial AnalystCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.No agencies please.
