Duties

  • You will be responsible for the compilation and analysis of availability data and state of repair of material, the adequacy of manpower and training related to support missions, and long- and short-range planning for mission support.
  • You will determine trends, deficiencies in the provision of spare parts, repair manuals, test equipment, and other necessary support items; deficiencies in manpower and training; and unit capability to perform a specified mission
  • You will provide recommendations regarding resolving deficiencies and increasing levels of readiness to the PSM, APML and various Field Activities
  • You will work closely with other logistics team members, IPT members, and logistics functional LEMs, planning offices, and other military services, including Fleet Readiness Centers (FRCs) and commercial repair activities as necessary.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applies principles and practices of Integrated Product Support requirements to achieve Performance to Plan (P2P) Mission Capable and Full Mission Capable goals and objectives for assigned program; 2) Applying continuous improvement methods to identify opportunities for life cycle cost reductions and improvement of aircraft and subsystems availability; and 3) Identifying product support elements that require improvement, and develops and provides recommendations.
