If you are an ambitious self-starter who thrives in an environment where you are empowered to take ownership of your area of responsibility, we would like to speak to you.?An experienced team builder, the IT Director, Imaging reports to the Sr. Director, Enterprise Imaging and is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing resources (human, material and financial) to drive high quality imaging service. The Director of Imaging develops, reports on, and is accountable for the staff who represent and promote optimal overall management of Solis IT processes around radiologist workflows.The IT Director, Imaging is responsible to communicate the vision, mission, values and strategic plan of the organization to employees and adherence to these by team members. Provides support for the coordination, integration, analysis and optimization of organizational processes (eg, business development, sales, clinical quality, technology service delivery, etc.) RESULTS MEASURE BY THE FOLLOWING REPONSIBILITIES:Operational ManagementResponsible for leading the operational, fiscal, and human resources for the picture archiving and communication system (PACS). In addition, act as a liaison in digital imaging initiatives within the department and other departments.Represents Solis in meetings with current and potential joint venture partners to discuss imaging workflows and solution design.Contributes to the development and implementation of the Solis policies and procedures, strategic plans and objectives for the setting and attainment of goals and objectives. Responsible for ensuring day-to-day operation of PACS including image acquisition, archiving, routing, and prefetching, and other related activities.Coordinates activities of PACS or related imaging vendors in all phases of installation, testing, and implementation.Ensure compliance to standard operating procedures regarding local, state, national, and governing body regulations.Maintain inventory list of hardware and software applications, including interfaces, servers, workstations, relevant peripherals, and radiology equipment.Understand Radiology processes and its different modalities, how they function and interact/interface with one another.Serves an Imaging lead during IT projects. Staff Management Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, development and dismissal of staff Responsible for building and maintaining a unified, high performing team.Responsible for supervision as well as conducting of regular performance appraisal of an interdisciplinary team of health professionals. Develops and implements strategies to promote interdisciplinary team building. Plans and facilitates staff development activities for the team and individuals according to the recommendations of the various Imaging Informatics professional or networking organizations. Financial ManagementAccountable for cost effectiveness and expenditure of funds allocated for imaging.Recommends, plans, and develops IT budgets and conducts, and approves activities in accordance with approved plans and budgets.Participates in Community RelationsBuilds, promotes, and maintains strong partnerships with other Solis Operations and Partners at the local, provincial and national levels.Reviews feedback from customers, compiles and analyzes support data, and recommends procedural and educational changes as appropriate.Coordinate with Radiology and HIT users, stakeholders, sponsors to assess departmental needs, designing, building and testing solutions that improve the clinician's workflow and build functional requirements. Confidentiality of InformationArranges priorities as necessary to perform tasks.Ensures adherence to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.Exercises reasonable care and caution in protection confidential and sensitive information related to clients and personnel. SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:Understanding of HL7 and DICOM.Desirable: experience with Merge RIS, Merge PACS, MagView, Powerscribe, 3Dimensions, SecureView, and iCAD.Minimum of 3 years' experience in managerial and program development positions in a primary health care environment.Understanding of pertinent legislation. leadership and management experience in a clinical or technical setting with responsibility for managing people, projects and assignments. Excellent organizational, advanced analytical, presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization system-wide.Strong technical, software & infrastructure experience a plusProject management experience, including working with cross-functional teams is a plus.?
