Title: System Administrator Lead Reports to: Manager, Cybersecurity Location: Chantilly, VA This is a hybrid position that will require some on-call work (2-hour response time after normal hours). Normal hours are from 8 to 5, Monday through Friday. The Systems Administrator Lead shall be responsible for systems administration, operations maintenance, and associated activities of platforms installed throughout the enterprise. The Systems Administrator Lead shall ensure the operation of the enterprise meets defined service levels and serves as the contractor's service owner for service solutions. Responsibilities:Shall support the day-to-day technical operations Unexpected, non-routine afterhours support, will be required to support system maintenance, emergency operations, or unique mission requirements. Shall provide support during off duty hours as needed to keep systems operational and perform maintenance/configuration changes. Shall ensure system performance through diagnostics using appropriate parameters and protocols as designated by the Government. Shall establish and sustain virtual infrastructure; migrate selected applications from legacy environments to the latest virtual hardware/software platforms. Shall provide systems administration and technical support on virtual and physical computer systems and applications. Shall provide state-of-the-art system administration solutions and support for hardware and software platforms to include all GOTS and COTS applications that reside on these platforms. Shall implement industry best practices and standards for system administration, including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) compliant processes. Shall provide hardware/software support for application servers, network infrastructure, web servers, print servers, virtual file servers, virtual machines, and reporting tools. Shall follow and maintain DISA STIGs for the hardware/software support for application servers, network infrastructure, web servers, print servers, virtual file servers, virtual machines, and reporting tools. Shall provide expertise and management of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) services. Shall perform audits, log collection and analysis via automated methods. Shall provide technical support for hardware troubleshooting, maintenance, system backups, system updates and helpdesk support for information systems users. Shall provide system orientation to users on any or all systems specified herein. Shall develop test data, plans, and regression testing to ensure that systems perform as required and provide support documentation and assistance to users to resolve technical issues. Will monitor resource utilization and uptime of systems and services to maintain agreed upon service levels. Shall establish defined regularly scheduled maintenance times for updates, patches, and migration of systems. Shall provide services to protect networks, systems, data, and related assets. Shall perform system scans and analyses using provided tools and shall have a thorough technical understanding of network, server, and workstation security. Shall interpret and remediate scan results in the context of defense in depth, network/computer security, and consistent with mission requirements. Shall implement a process and technical solution to quarantine non-compliant machines, to include those directly connected to the network or through a virtual connection. Shall install, configure, and maintain security management. Shall be the technical and operational focal point of contact for IAVAs, STIGs, patches, and new compliance technology implementation. Shall validate that scans are accurate as well as verify that scans and STIGs are remediated according to approved schedules. Shall review all audit logs according to DoD, Army and AvMC policies and procedures. Shall architect solutions which allow for systems and software to be moved to isolated zones and quarantined until vulnerabilities can be mitigated or eliminated. Shall support the development, deployment, and sustainment of an isolated testing environment for hardware and software. Shall employ the use of the Test and Development Enclave STIGs for Test and Development Enclaves. This is not all inclusive as there may be other duties required to support the organization. Qualifications:It is required that the Systems Administrator Lead has the following qualifications: Possess certifications as required in DoD 8570 Baseline IAT-II level qualifications as identified at the https://public.cyber.mil/cw/cwmp/dod-approved-8570-baseline- certifications/ website. A minimum of five years of experience supporting O&M of servers (eg, physical and virtual), operating systems (eg, Windows and UNIX/LINUX), databases (eg, Microsoft and SQL), collaboration tools (eg, SharePoint), software applications, scripting, backups, and computer security in an enterprise. A minimum of five years of experience applying DISA STIGs Possess a current MCSE Certification or garner certification within 6 months of hire date. A minimum of five years of experience with cloud-based solutions, preferably MS Azure. A minimum of five years of experience in a virtual desktop enterprise This is a hybrid position that will require some on-call work (2-hour response time after normal hours). Normal hours are from 8 to 5, Monday through Friday but the applicant must be able to respond within 2 hours of an issue outside of normal hours.
