We have a great opportunity for a Network Engineer with our client, a trusted federal partner.Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.Due to federal security contract requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.Duties:- Provides technical, managerial, and administrative direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development and implementation for complex to extremely complex systems with in the network infrastructure. Troubleshoots network performance issues. Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions.Top 3 Qualifications, Skills, Experience or Certifications:1. 7 years of experience deploying/configuring workloads within AWS Commercial Cloud2. Demonstrated understanding of compute, network, and storage principals3. AWS Solutions Architect ProfessionalJob Role Specific Requirements:1. Design and buildout of automation platforms utilizing Infrastructure as Code methodologies2. Supporting all tiers of applications deployed in the cloud, configuring network, cloud native services, infrastructure, and privileges for development teams3. Identifying opportunities for optimizing cloud consumption by the agency and providing strategic direction for addressing those opportunities4. Collaborating with external development teams to validate solution architecture within agency cloud environment5. Supporting migration of on-premise workloads to cloud following agency governance and reference architectures6. Supporting strategic cloud initiatives, such as TIC 3.0, Zero Trust Architectures, and DevSecOps by providing architectural guidance and hands on implementation of approach7. Reviewing and approving change requests for cloud-based workloads8. Identifying and communicating opportunities for improving agency security posture within cloud environments9. Providing leadership to junior engineers to increase understanding of agency cloud environmentsPreferred skills and qualifications:1. Demonstrated understanding of cloud engineering methods, applications, and best practices across cloud service providers.2. Demonstrated proficiency in automating processes with GitHub, Ansible, AWS Cloudformation, Packer, PowerShell, or Python, including use of remote APIs3. Experience implementing, managing, and supporting security products to protect workloads in AWS4. Understanding of FedRAMP services and best practices for their consumption by application workloads - examples include API Gateway, Lambda functions, Cognito, AWS Code Commit, and container services5. Experience working with containers and container orchestration systems and hardening practices.6. Experience assessing, customizing, troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining current and emerging technologies, platforms, and applications to help ensure greater security and efficiencies.7. Experience with cloud orchestration tools and continuous delivery processes to deploy and manage cloud infrastructure for customers to consume8. AWS Solutions Architect ProfessionalMust Haves:- Must have a minimum of 10 years of related experience as a subject matter expert in architecting complex networks- Must have experience with Cisco, F5s, Nexus switches, DHCP, DNS, VPN, MPLS, MTIPS, Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), routing, switching, and Out-of-Band (OOB) networks, cloudinfrastructure, and firewall management.- Must be an expert in routing and switching- Must possess CCIE a certification.
