As a High Touch Engineer, you will support the US Navy Shipboard systems. The DoN team is comprised of geographically dispersed engineers that design, architect, and support work on critical DoD owned networks with leading edge Cisco solutions. The engineering team provides foundational engineering and operations support to a dynamic, innovative Department of the Navy customer pursuing rapid acceleration of projects from inception to deployment. Responsibilities: Work with the customer to design, validate and deploy diverse, cutting-edge technologies as part of a closed loop Infrastructure-as-a-service architecture DEVSECOPs pipeline.Task requires strong relationship building and interpersonal skills and a passion for continuous development and training on new products/technologies.As part of this team, work directly with our customers and gain hands-on experience and exposure to advanced data, security, mobility, and cloud systems critical to the success of the warfighter.Required Skills: Relevant experience in a "hands on" technical role with various Cisco platforms and/or Spirent or other 3rd party test toolsAbility to work independently - add value as a team member of the Navy family and wider sales community.Excellent listening, negotiation, presentation organizational and time management skills.The ability to develop and maintain high-quality test plans and test results documents.Excellent written and verbal communication in EnglishSuccess in this role involves maintaining current awareness of competitive offerings and being able to effectively articulate Cisco's differentiating features and benefits.BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering or related discipline.CCNP or equivalent industry certification.Technical expertise in all or some of the following is required: An in-depth practical understanding of Cisco Data Center, Enterprise, and Security solutions.Experience with Cisco technologies including UCS, Hyperflex, Intersight, ACI, NX-OS, Firepower, ISE and Stealthwatch.Proficient in deploying virtualized and containerized applications with VMWare, Docker, KubernetesA working and demonstrable knowledge of relevant programming languages (eg. Python, Java, Ansible, Terraform) highly desirable.Experience with DEVSECOPs principles and applications.Experience with network traffic generation and test tools (Spirent test Centre, IXIA, Agilent N2X) and associated practices for simulation and testing of large scale networks.
