Job Number: 45130Benefits ConsultantJob Description:One of our clients, a leading benefits brokerage firm, is looking to bring on a new benefits consultant. The Benefits Consultant is primarily responsible for retaining clients and their existing book of business. The consultant will oversee strategy, financial analysis, benefit design, plan renewals, bench marking, and overall service delivery. They will also effectively communicate the company value proposition and latest industry trends to active clients.Responsibilities:Develops sophisticated benefit design and renewal strategies and drives the development of solutions to address complex client issuesWorks closely with account management and/or client service teams on pre-renewal strategy, RFP distribution, SPRs, open enrollment strategy and post renewal analysisDetermines the full scope of services to be provided to clientClearly establishes and communicates timelines with the client service team(s) and keeps them apprised of changes and renewal updates Maintains accountability for revenue and profitability for client accounts and projects and keeps all involved parties up to dateMonitors the success of projects in terms of scope, budget, timeliness and client satisfactionOversees the on-boarding of new clients by working collaboratively with client service team(s) to establish the implementation plan, team and timelineEnsures client service team(s) exceeds client expectationsGrows book through cross-selling opportunitiesCultivates and maintains strong relationships with clients and carriersEstablishes effective carrier/vendor relationships to serve clients in benefits procurement and administrationAttends carrier events to remain up to date and knowledgeable of carrier plans and changes, as well as maintain strong relationshipsMaintains a full understanding of the insurance markets, funding alternatives, networks and benefit plan optionsEnsures accuracy of client data in CRMRemains fully knowledgeable on compliance issues governed by legislation and regulations impacting employer sponsored health and welfare plans such as HIPAA, ERISA, Tax Code SEC 125, PPACA and state sponsored health insurance exchangesEducation Requirements:Bachelors Degree, preferredDesired Background/Skills:3+ years of benefits consulting experience, requiredMust be up to date and knowledgeable on Health Care Reform and health and ancillary insurance productsMust have a practical knowledge of quoting process and toolsMust be proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with database applicationsValid life and health insurance license, requiredQualifications:Strong attention to detailMust be self-motivated and disciplinedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skillsAbility to manage one's workloadAbility to thrive in fast-paced environmentAbility to influence and effectively interact with members of the C-suiteOther Information: Greene Resources is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
