Job Summary Provides underwriting support and expertise to company personnel, agents, and customer(s), related to the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies. Utilizes underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority limits, to underwrite the issuance of title insurance and provide guidance in the performance of real estate settlement services.Essential FunctionsExamine title searches or Abstract reports for the preparation of Commitments for Title Insurance.Prepares appropriate write-ups for commitments and policies with extended coverage.Utilizes underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority limits, to underwrite the issuance of title insuranceProvides underwriting support, counsel, and authorization to company personnel, and customer(s), related to the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policiesAdvises internal and external clients on Virginia specific title and real estate settlement nuances.
