You will be a good fit at Rincon if you have a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for working in a high-profile, fast-paced, mission-oriented culture with other clever, bright, hard-working people.Come join the team that is creating cutting edge signal processing, geolocation, and communication systems for the future!What are the primary responsibilities in the Advanced DSP Communications Engineer position?Responsible for research, design, and development of digital signal processing and communications systems deployed on a variety of platforms including CPU, GPU, and FPGA.Participates in all phases of the product development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test.Applies engineering, software, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of system solutions.Works closely with cross-functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and overall system design.Develops test procedures and related documentation.Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches.What required background will make you successful?BS in Electrical Engineering or related field and 5-10 years of experienceExperience with one or more high level language for signal processing algorithm development: Python (NumPy SciPy), MATLAB, X-Midas, etc.Some experience with some combination of C/C++Experience with design of digital signal processing algorithmsExperience with implementation of signal processing algorithms on CPU, GPU, and or/FPGAAbility to communicate algorithms and designs in written and oral reportsAbility to quickly grasp and come up-to-speed with complex code bases/designsExperience in one or more of the following areas: Satellite communicationsCellular communications systemsModern wireless protocolsModern modulation schemesModem designCoding theory and techniquesRadio Frequency (RF) system designRadar/Sonar/LIDARElectronic Warfare Novel signal processing algorithm developmentSignal geolocationSignal conditioningInterference cancelingStatistical signal processing techniques (Parameter estimation, state estimation using Kalman and particle filters, detection systems, adaptive filtering, etc.)Array processing and beamformingAbility to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearanceUS CITIZENSHIP REQUIREDPreferred skills:Advanced degree in EE or related field (applied math, physics, etc)Experience with LinuxStrong software implementation backgroundAbility to lead teams of 2-3 multidisciplinary engineers/scientistsDemonstrated success working with geographically distributed teamsInterest, aptitude, and/or experience in participating as a technical contributor to business captureWhere is the position located?This position can be at any of our locations in Centennial, CO; Colorado Springs, CO; or Chantilly, VA.What benefits does RRC offer?100% employer-paid premiums for family medical and dental insurance, employee life insurance, short-term and long-term disability (STD & LTD)Flexible reimbursement spending accounts for medical expense and dependent careImmediate participation and vesting in the company's Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and 401(k) PlanEmployer contributions to RRC's ESOPEmployer matching contributions to the company's 401( k) PlanEmployer discretionary contributions to the company's 401(k) PlanCompensation: Starts at $133k + benefits.
