Join Diplomatic Perspective, a DC-based 501 (c) (3) NGO working to bridge the gap in international affairs between diverse youth and underrepresented young adults. As an organization, we strive to act as the motivating force to cultivate & enhance the future diplomatic leaders & peacemakers of today.As the Program Coordinator, you will work directly with the Executive Director and aligned strategic partners to manage and continue the efforts of the Diplomatic Leaders Development Program (DLDP) completed in 2021-2022. The Diplomatic Leaders Development Program (DLDP) is a 6-month program geared towards developing high school students within the Washington, DC area into global citizens through cultural sessions, skills institutes, and international projects. Every month each student will participate in educational and engaging sessions, develop a global network, and receive the opportunity to have a global experience virtually. Industry leaders will teach the students about skill sets that can be applied across industries anywhere around the globe.*Responsibilities & Duties**Program Development & Management**Management*A' . Lead and manage the Diplomatic Leaders Development Program includes weekendsA' . Recruitment, acceptance, and engagement of students throughout the DLDP student lifecycle including alumni studentsA' . Curriculum delivery to students including coordination of curriculum teamA' . Student-mentor engagement managementA' . Document program outcomes and provide post session follow-ups to stakeholders (students, partners, volunteers, team) and develop a DLDP end of program reportA' . Coordinate program stakeholders for meetings and sessionsA' . Manage DLDP budget and fundraising pipeline for programming providing bi-weekly reports and ad-hoc reports as needed to Executive DirectorA' . Manage program volunteers, communicating and managing duties and responsibilitiesA' . Develop supporting documentation and standards of operating procedures in regards to the DLDP program, partners, and operations*Curriculum Development & Research*A' . Develop and implement a scalable model of the current DLDP curriculum including an application or online learning management systemA' . Create a strategic plan for DLDP leveraging advanced technology such as virtual reality/ mixed realityA' . Expand the current curriculum to fit the needs of international studentsA' . Coordinate the Curriculum Advisory Board to ensure the quality of programming for the DLDP cohort 2A' . Conduct research related to the needs and impact of the program and produce a quarterly whitepaper in partnership with those applicable (interns, volunteers, staff, and Board members)*Partnership Management*A' . Serve as the liaison and coordinator between DP and DLDP partners (NGOs, Embassies, Schools, etc.)A' . Cultivate partnerships with companies that can support the technological advancement of the DLDP programA' . Partner with the Executive Director to strengthen current partnerships and cultivate strategic net new partnerships*Fundraising*A' . Create a grant database to apply for funds available for the DLDP programA' . Work with DP Board of Directors and Executive Director to create a program fundraising plan to implement throughout fellowshipA' . Assist in the planning and execution of in-person and or virtual organizational fundraising eventsA' . Cold call potential donors, and partners for DLDP program. At least 4 calls per week.*Qualifications** Degree or background in teaching, curriculum/instructional design, international relations, program management, business, economics, international education, political science, or related* Experience with international programs, youth programming, curriculum development, program management, and volunteering* Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders internally and externally* Excellent communication and organization are required to be successful in this role* Be able to juggle multiple projects with minimal supervision* Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Teams* Ability to speak another language a PLUS.* Ability to adjust to ad Hoc projects*Requirements*A' . Must live within commuting distance to DCA' . Must come into office as necessary for activities such as program sessions, program preparations, student engagement, staff engagement (on an ad-hoc basis)A' . Must be available on Saturdays for program sessions and student mentorship/engagement. Sessions are every other Saturday and are participated through a hybrid mode (virtual and in-person for a number of sessions)A' .
