Duties

• You will manage the entire software life cycle processes for all the branchs aircraft performance modeling software products.
• You will aid in the development of the branch?s aircraft performance modeling software products to include design documentation.
• You will aid multidisciplinary engineers in designing each software products interfaces, architecture and algorithms.
• You will develop system test processes and products to include automated testing for components unit testing and system level testing.
• You will provide recommendations and training to the Flight Vehicle Performance Branch on current practices in software development, design, testing and implementation.
• You will manage the software source control, development process, change request and bug tracker database for each software product.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the(GS 9-11) grade level or (DP-03) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing software life cycles processes to include configuration control, requirement definitions, design, implementation, test and evaluation, maintenance and documentation; 2) Knowledge of agile software development practices; 3) Developing system test processes and products to include automated testing for components unit testing and system level testing.

Education

Basic Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science
OR
Bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (https://www.ed.gov/). Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
