Scans necessary medical information into patient charts. Instructs patients in basic testing requirements (eg clean catch urine, EKG, phlebotomy, pap tests, etc.).* Demonstrates compassion and uses unbiased observations when caring for patients and reporting to the physician for care concerns.* Fulfills environmental responsibilities (eg setting up instruments and equipment according to protocol, cleaning exam/procedure rooms and instruments/equipment between patient visits, ordering/storing supplies, restocking exam/procedure rooms, checking equipment to ensure it's in proper working order).* Fulfills clerical responsibilities (eg sending/receiving patient medical records, obtaining Laboratory/X-ray reports and hospital notes, processing referral information and completing forms/requisitions).* Assists with the identification and recording of actual and potential risks to patient safety. Works with clinical leaders to decrease safety events.* Participates in continuing education activities that enhance/expand professional knowledge and abilities.*Requirements: ** *Experience: * Previous experience in a medical group practice or similar situation preferred.* *Education: * High School or GED* *Special Skills: * Proficient in medical terminology preferred.
