*Overview*The Program OfficerA$ cents A cents ' not A cents " cents s principal responsibility is the administration of the National Academy of Education (NAEd)/Spencer Postdoctoral and Dissertation Fellowship Programs and membership operations. The Program Officer reports to the Director of Professional Development Programs and also works with the Executive Director in the development of evaluations and reports for funders, vendors, and regulatory agencies, as well as on other assignments as needed. This is a full time position with a mostly hybrid schedule that is based out of the NAEd headquarters office in Washington, DC.*Responsibilities*_Professional Development Programs: _A$ 'A' . Work with the Director of Professional Development Programs to provide staff support to the NAEd/Spencer Postdoctoral and Dissertation Fellowship ProgramsA$ 'A' . Provide staffing support to volunteer committeesA$ 'A' . Manage application and selection processes, coordinate disbursement of fellowship awards, organize fellowsA$ cents A cents ' not A cents " cents retreats and other professional development activities, and assist in the development of fellowship program evaluationsA$ 'A' . Work with the Executive Director and Director in the development of evaluations and reports for program funders, vendors, and regulatory agenciesA$ 'A' . Assist with program planning and coordinate logistics for the Annual Meeting, fellows retreats, and other NAEd-sponsored eventsA$ 'A' . Take on other assignments as needed_Membership Programs: _A$ 'A' . Assist with the administrative aspects of membership services programsA$ 'A' . Respond to inquiries from membersA$ 'A' . Assist with developing programming for the Annual Meeting and other meetings and events_Communications: _A$ 'A' . Represent the NAEd in meetings with other organizations and the general publicA$ 'A' . Maintain NAEd databases for various programs and generate data as needed for reports to the NAEd Board, committees, funders, and other audiencesA$ 'A' . Participate in production of the NAEd bi-annual newsletter, writing and editing articles as neededA$ 'A' . Continuously update website content for responsible programs, including maintenance ofNAEdA$ cents A cents ' not A cents " cents s online directoryA$ 'A' . Respond to inquiries from the general public*Qualifications*A$ 'A' . BachelorA$ cents A cents ' not A cents " cents s or MasterA$ cents A cents ' not A cents " cents s degree (preferred) plus two to four years of relevant experienceA$ 'A' . Experience in program administration and/or conference planningA$ 'A' . Demonstrated willingness and ability to manage multiple projects and to work both independently and as part of a small staff teamA$ 'A' . Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsA$ 'A' .
