Performance Driven Workforce is looking for Technicians to support the Car Sharing Operations of our client in Washington, DC. Technicians ensure our client's car-sharing fleets are in great operating condition and vehicles are clean and ready for customers. Technician's duties include assisting the City Fleet Manager with managing the car-sharing fleet, supervising and organizing the work of internal or external automotive technicians, working with local automotive service centers to ensure quick and cost-effective repair of vehicles, and performing other tasks required to maintain our client's carsharing fleet. Technicians must know about vehicle repair and maintenance, including diagnosing and identifying required repairs, the ability to supervise external repair work when needed, ensuring proper fluid levels and tire inflation pressure, and the ability to change tires and batteries. Technicians also must be able to drive vehicles to new locations within the city, clean vehicles, fuel vehicles, and other duties as assigned.The ideal candidate will have automotive technician experience and knowledge, leadership abilities, exhibit safe driving skills, be able to take direction, and can be entrusted with valuable property.*Main duties and responsibilities** Support City Fleet Manager in managing the carsharing fleet within the city Help lead the Car Porters and Technicians (internal and subcontracted) complete their tasks* Understand vehicle repair needs and diagnose issues as needed* Work with partner garages to monitor repairs and optimize duration and cost* Change vehicle tires and batteries as needed* Able and willing to complete tasks when other Technicians are not available* Install and modify vehicle telematics boxes to ensure proper vehicle connectivity to the client's car-share app* Able to conduct other necessary vehicle maintenance* Drive and handle all vehicles responsibly to ensure damage prevention and protect the client's property at all times* Driving vehicles within city limits to new locations as directed* Use the company-provided tablet to access the client's App to locate vehicles, assign and address customer tickets* Support Car Porters and Technicians in ensuring vehicles have adequate fuel and fluid levels, filling fuel tank using gas can or at gas station as needed, and filling washer fluid* Support Car Porters and Technicians in maintaining interior and exterior vehicle appearance, including getting cars washed as needed, removing garbage and debris within vehicles, vacuuming and wiping down vehicle interiors*Job Requirements** High School Diploma or equivalent* Valid Driver's License and good driving record* Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance* Demonstrated experience as an Automotive Technician at a garage, automotive dealership, or similar work preferred* Ability to park vehicles on busy streets, including parallel parking when required* Willingness to work regular schedule and overtime as neededJob Type: Full-timePay: $22.00 per hourBenefits:* Health insurance* Paid time offSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to Friday* Weekend availabilityAbility to commute/relocate:* Washington, DC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)License/Certification:* Driver's License (Required)Shift availability:* Day Shift (Required)Work Location: One location
