Then this is the job for you.*The Clinical Director at CLE is given the perfect chance to build on your experiences and contributions in the field, with a unique combination of both direct student engagement and program administration. The individual has the chance to be in a key leadership role on a relatively small team and work alongside colleagues to collaborate, problem-solve, and continuously improve the scope of services for our students. This is a role where one day at work could include using your energy and expertise in a variety of ways including modeling social skills in a Super Smash Brothers tournament; participating in a student progress meeting; providing a group training for employees on Executive Functioning; observing an improv group that your student intern leads; problem-solving on a student behavior challenge; or supporting CLE's wrap-around approach by collaborating with community care providers. Dull days don't happen, with the chance to engage in site leadership decisions and work on the programming of students from admissions through program planning and on to their transition out of CLE.Given the population we serve, a passion for working with individuals with disabilities is required. We prefer the scope of your experience includes a minimum of 3 years in a behavioral health setting with some engagement with individuals with autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, or other exceptionalities.College Living Experience - a leading provider of post-secondary and transition services for young adult diverse learners, is seeking to hire a Clinical Director. We are making an impact on the quality of life for college-age adults with disabilities and helping them to reach their full potential with our wrap-around support. CLE provides educational support services, training in independent living skills, assist in building social skills and community experiences and employment coaching for students entering into the workforce. Young adults with autism, Asperger's, learning disabilities, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy and other special needs can successfully transition to independent adulthood with tailored support provided by CLE.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:* Evaluates prospective students based on an interview, application materials including, psycho-educational reports to determine eligibility for the program.* Develops and implements individualized, goal-directed social skills programming for individuals and groups.* Writes brief profiles of incoming students based on information in their applications and psycho-educational reports.* Provides recommendations on individual and group psychological and/or crisis intervention counseling to help resolve interpersonal or family problems that interfere with school performance.* Provides assessment of student needs and counsels staff on environmental supports while also serving as a liaison between CLE and the student's private therapy provider.* Oversees social skill development instructors and mentors. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring, assignment and management of caseloads, individual supervision, the completion of quarterly evaluation paperwork, and maintaining a professional relationship with local graduate school programs for possible externship opportunities.* Facilitates and/or supervises social skill development groups.
