Additionally, a candidate would need to have the ability to think and react to events effectively and swiftly.*SALARY: *$15-17 per hour, based on experience*CLASSIFICATION: *Professional, Full-Time*REPORTS TO: *Nurse Practitioner*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*1) This position will require the Medical Receptionist to work at the front desk and or in the clinical area. When working at the front desk the Medical receptionist will be required to answer the telephones, schedule appointments, check in and out patients, update patient demographics, and insurance in the EHR, collect co-pays, coordinate patientA$ cents A cents ' not A cents " cents s referral, obtain Prior authorization for medications and diagnostic tests and assist with submitting claims.2) Prepares and maintains complete and accurate charts, case files, records and other documents using an electronic health records system and checks for completeness and accuracy.3) Attends, participates in, and contributes to in-services education and staff training sessions to maintain and increase skills, and to teach others.4) They assist the provider in obtaining medical records, coordinate with patients to schedule referrals and obtain prior authorization for medications and diagnostic tests from insurance companies.*QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION**Minimum Qualifications: ** Basic Life Support certification* Must submit to and clear a Criminal Background check* Must submit to and clear an Alcohol/Drug Screen.* Experience with an Electronic Health Records system* Computer literacy and typing proficiency minimum 60 words-per-minute* Experience with Excel, Word, and E-mail required*Preferred Qualifications: ** At least One-year experience working in a clinic setting is recommended.* required.* *Bilingual in Haitian Creole is required, Spanish is a plus**PERSONAL QUALITIES: ** Mentally alert, in good physical health.* Patient, courteous and tactful with neat and friendly appearance.* Ability to effectively communicate with patients from various social, cultural, and economic and educational backgrounds.A$ 'A' . Must be able to follow directions well from provider and cooperate well with other medical care providers.A$ 'A' .
