Working with the PBS Team As Senior Water Resources Engineer you will actively lead the innovation, design, and oversight of Water Resources projects throughout Washington and Oregon. To support these projects, you will work with a team of talented engineers, planners, and environmental scientists to develop projects related to infrastructure improvements, flood control, fish passage, and stream restoration projects. You will mentor and manage junior staff and together will complete quality projects. Our goal is to provide the capabilities of national firms, but with the personal connection of a local company. To do this, we promote engagement between our engineers and clients, and the forging of relationships through consistent delivery of quality work. Job Responsibilities: In your role as Senior Water Resources Engineer , you will use your advanced skills in Water Resources Engineering to support a variety of projects. Typical duties may include the following: Deliver a wide range of water resource projects including fish passage barrier removals, stream restoration, floodplain analysis, to support public works infrastructure projects throughout Washington and Oregon. Perform hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS, SWMMM, or SRH2D Perform hydrologic analysis using either single event or continuous series hydrologic models Provide excellent client services related to quality and timeliness. Meet and work directly with other talented design team members. Develop civil engineering construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation Inroads. Provide office and site visit support for projects in construction. Develop detailed project analysis and technical reports Provide oversight and mentoring of junior level staff. lead business development efforts, preparing proposals and participating in interviews as needed. Actively participate in professional organizations Minimum Qualifications Include: BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Water Resources. Registered Professional Engineer in Washington. 10+years of experience as a hydrology and hydraulic design engineer with general civil and water resource design experience. Strongwritten and verbal communication skills. Familiaritywith AutoCAD/Civil3D, and/or Microstation/Inroads. Proficiency with hydraulic design software including HEC-RAS, SWMMM, WWHM/HSPF Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Water Resources Water system design experience using EPAnet or similar.
