Synchron, LLC is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to support the Navy's Support Ships, Boats, and Craft Program Office (PMS 325). You will provide direct support to this important program in the areas listed below.*Responsibilities: ** Use DoD and Navy IT Practices to participate in a broad array of system concept & design efforts, including legacy IA and the new Risk Management Framework (RMF) process in support of PMS 325.* Apply knowledge of cross-SYSCOM, system-of-systems cyber security test environment.* Assess cyber security capabilities and risks at the system, enclave, cross-enclave, platform and strike group level.* Use training and experience to integrate multiple cybersecurity policies, guidelines and instructions.* Support cross-SYSCOM cybersecurity collaboration efforts throughout the acquisition lifecycle.* Work to establish networks, documenting network security issues and integrating DoD/DOT&E Cybersecurity policy into them.* Write cybersecurity documentation or cybersecurity input for ship acquisition documentation.* Participate in engineering reviews of drawings, interfaces, and functional specifications against cybersecurity requirements.* Analyze various virtual environments and data paths.* Support Command, Operational Test and Evaluation Force (COTF) and Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E) Cyber Security Testing requirements.* Provide understanding of security architecture(s), how to mitigate threats, and manage change.* Participate in science and technology studies, including engineering trade studies, capability/feasibility studies, impact assessments, risk assessments and other relevant activities.* Understand and provide recommendations for mitigation of cybersecurity threats, hacker methodologies and tactics.* Understand the use of commonly employed cybersecurity tools, applications, appliances, software and implementation practices.* Develop, review, and implement mission systems' test procedures.* Apply knowledge of cybersecurity integration testing, vulnerability and penetration assessments as well as Red Team/Blue Team practices.* Interface with waterfront, shipyard, shipboard, and land-based test site personnel on cybersecurity issues.* Understand and apply recommendations for the implementation of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and use of Nessus ACAS scanning software.* Generate and deliver timely status updates, weekly reports, schedule revisions, engineering reports, briefings, documents, procedures, plans, drawings, white papers, planning documents, and other relevant products as required.* Work cohesively with PMS 325 leadership, internal and external personnel to timely meet demand signals and work tasks to closure.*Requirements: ** Bachelors Degree in an information technology, cyber, or related field* A minimum of two years professional experience in related cyber positions* Active DOD secret clearance*Preferred Experience: ** 4 years professional experience in cyber support for the Navy* Security+ certification* RMF trainingSYNCHRON, LLC provides technical support services to the Department of Defense, Government Contractors, and select partners.
