The Hispanic Outreach Advocate (HOC} will develop, operate and evaluate the SAFE Hispanic OutreachA$ 'A' .Program. The HOC will provide services to Hispanic survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, including outreach and awareness activities, provide advocacy services, and support recruitment andA$ 'A' .training of volunteers. The Hispanic Outreach Coordinator will.work with staff to ensure that all individuals requesting services of SAFE are given those services in the most effective, efficient and appropriate manner possible.The HOC reports to the Director of Programs & Services. The HOC is to provide direct services to Spanish-speaking survivors of sexual and domestic violence. In carrying out assigned position responsibilities, s/he is .required to exercise sound judgment,A$ 'A' . demonstrate initiative and maintain a high degree of confidentiality: The HOC is required to complete an orientation to SAFE policies and procedures, 40 hours of in-house SAFE training, and to complete 40 hours of continuing education classes annually:*Major Responsibilities: *A$ cents A cents ' not A' cents Provide direct client services and support to adult survivors of Domestic & Sexual Violence; including, but not limited to, hotline response, generai support, crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, education, information, and referral services, community systems advocacy and accompaniment, provision of food, clothing, and transportation services, and follow-up contact.A$ cents A cents ' not A' cents Conduct outreach into the Latino community and develop educational and awareness opportunitiesA$ cents A cents ' not A' cents Design and conduct educational workshops, seminars, and presentations on an on-going basis for varied audiences in traditional and nontraditional settingsA$ cents A cents ' not A' cents Develop, and translate educaUonal materials appropriate for the Latino community designed to inform and educate the target population on the dynamics of domestic and sexual violenceA$ cents A cents ' not A' cents Identify public and private program partner organizations servingthe Latino community through on-going intensive community building/networkingA$ cents A cents ' not A' cents Create and maintain a calendar of Latino community events in service area that HOC will provide opportunities to speaking and/or train on domestic and/or sexual violence prevention/intervention and offer resource informationA$ cents A cents ' not A' cents Partner with Community Outreach Coordinator to recruit, orient, train, supervise, and recognize Spanish-speaking interns/volunteers who will assist with Latino outrea.ch and educationA$ cents A cents ' not A' cents Conduct trainings for direct service providers and allied professionals on the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence and resources available to the Latino communityA$ cents A cents ' not A' cents Collaborate with SAFE direct service staff to ensure the effective delivery of services to clients with limited English proficiency (LEP)A$ cents A cents ' not A' cents Share on-call coverage with SAFE staff on a rotating basis, Respond professionally to callers and accompany survivors of violence to hospitats, law enforcement agencies, and other service providers as needed.A$ cents A cents ' not A' cents Meet with Executive Director to address barriers to services and perform problemA$ 'A' - solving;A$ cents A cents ' not A' cents Participate in case coordination meetings, monthly full staff meetings, monthly performance reports, and other meetings as assignedA$ cents A cents ' not A' cents Complete monthly reports and submit to funder(s) and the executive director.A$ cents A cents ' not A' cents Perform other duties as requestedJob Type: Full-timePay: From $37,400.00 per yearBenefits:* Flexible schedule* Paid time offSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to Friday* On call* Weekend availabilityAbility to commute/relocate:* Culpeper, VA 22701: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)License/Certification:* Driver's License (Required)Work Location: One location
