*Location: *Chantilly, VA*Overview: *UNICOM Government, Inc. has an immediate opening in our Integration & Distribution Center for an Assembly Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, preparing the installation of, and revising test validation procedures/protocols for customer products that come through Integration. The installation of hardware and software components includes performing functional testing of hardware components, image deployment, and software configurations and ensuring work order protocols are followed while working to improve assembly efficiency, improve product quality and reduce production cost through automation. To apply advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues and develop guidelines and procedures to set future precedents and direction*Primary Responsibilities: *A$ 'A' . Responsible for packing/unpacking and staging orders for Integration.A$ 'A' . Configuration and installation of hardware and software components.A$ 'A' . Perform functional testing of hardware components.A$ 'A' . Image deployment and software configurationA$ 'A' . Responsible for ensuring that work order protocols are followed on the production line.A$ 'A' . Assist with customer relationships by communicating architecture standards and framework, answering questions, and working closely with clients to evaluate and solve technical concerns and issues.A$ 'A' . Analyze existing system procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.A$ 'A' . Answer technical questions and conduct demonstrations of products and services through detailed observations, analyzing data, and interpreting the results.A$ 'A' . Interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.A$ 'A' . Create and document all actions, practices, procedures, and processes for customers.A$ 'A' . Research, evaluate and apply new development methods.A$ 'A' . Work closely with the customers, co-workers, and vendors to provide advice, and technical services and assist in developing requirements that fit their needs.A$ 'A' . Provide moderately complex engineering services and solutions in support of the defined and proposed strategic service offerings.*Supervisory Responsibilities: *None*Education and/or Experience: *A$ 'A' . A high school diploma or equivalent is required.A$ 'A' . At least two years of related experience in asset tagging and computer hardware/software installation.A$ 'A' . Experience in a pre or post-sales technical support role is desired.A$ 'A' . Vendor technology and technical training are preferred.*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: *A$ 'A' . Must have advanced knowledge of installation, configuration security, and backup and recovery procedures.A$ 'A' . Advanced PC troubleshooting and repair skills.A$ 'A' . Strong understanding of Cisco Networking.A$ 'A' . Proficient with PC and server hardware component compatibilities.A$ 'A' . Excellent verbal and written communication skills.A$ 'A' . Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.A$ 'A' . Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.A$ 'A' . Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.A$ 'A' . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.A$ 'A' . Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.A$ 'A' . Must be able to clearly and concisely report to management all aspects of project/program assigned.A$ 'A' . Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.*Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: *A$ 'A' . A+ Certification is highly desired.A$ 'A' . Various vendor certifications are preferred (Cisco, Dell, HP, Microsoft)*Travel Requirements: *None*Security Clearance: *A$ 'A' .
