*This is an onsite position in Washington DC.*Senior Network Engineer and System Administrator to provide IT infrastructure, network and applications services. This temporary position will be located at the DC office and will ensure IT services availability, reliability, and security for the organization.*Requirements: *1. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with servers, software/cloud applications, wireless/wired networks, and cloud data storage, including 24/7 emergency support.2. Provide Tier 2/3 remote and onsite user support for desktops and office software/applications.3. Monitor all servers, cloud applications, NAS and network equipment to ensure reliability to minimize interruptions and downtime. This includes performing proactive maintenance and bandwidth analysis, including monitoring QoS for Teams, and network activity logs, WebTitan, SpamTitan, E-Mail and other critical systems.4. Provide server, software and network upgrades as required for optimal performance. Make recommendations for purchases of new systems.5. Support Microsoft SharePoint Online site collections, including Microsoft Teams channels.6. Assist with the security patching of servers, desktop computers, laptops, and network equipment, by using patching tools.8. Apply industry-standard security practices to ensure that all systems and networks are in compliance.*Qualification: *1. Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.2. Technical certifications (eg, Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, etc.) preferred.3. 5-10 plus years of experience with server software and hardware - VMware virtualization software (vSphere, ESXi), NetApp and Synology NAS storage, Microsoft Azure, including Meraki wireless/ network equipment and OpenVPN.4. 5-10 plus years of experience with Windows Server 2019, 2016, 2012 and 2008 (Active Directory, IIS, DFS, NPS, DNS/DHCP, GPO), Exchange Online, SQL Server 2012 and 2008, SharePoint Online, and Backup software.5. 5-10 plus years of experience with Windows desktop client operating systems (Windows 10 and 11) and applications (Office 365 and various other software), Antivirus etc.6. 5-10 plus years of experience in LAN/WAN design, installation, and maintenance for networks greater than 500 nodes.7. Well-organized, strong client service mindset, effective written and verbal communication skills, and extremely detail orientated.Interested candidate will go through a background check.
