*TYDINGS & ROSENBERG LLP **Job Description**POSITION: * Human Resources / Marketing Assistant*DEPARTMENT: * Administration*FLSA STATUS: * Non-exempt/Hourly*REPORTS TO: * Firm Administrator*DIRECTS: * This is a non-supervisory position*SUMMARY: * Performs administrative and office support activities for the firm's human resources and marketing departments.*ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* include the following, but are not limited to:_Human Resources Administrative Functions: _Maintains firm data regarding firm access and employee benefits;Places advertisements for all positions within firm and contacts candidates for interviews;Prepares personnel and medical folders for new employees;Prepares benefit packages, policy binders, and orientation packages for new employees;Processes medical insurance enrollments, terminations, benefit changes;Maintains staff evaluation schedule; distribute evaluation forms to attorneys and supervisors for completion, and process evaluations for Firm Administrator review;Tracks and maintains employee time and attendance;Updates HR database with personnel changes, new hires, and terminations;Maintains human resource information systems records and compiles reports from databases as needed;Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for employees;Performs other duties as assigned or requested._Human Resources Planning and Organizing Functions: _Coordinates safety programs, including emergency tenant procedures and fire safety plan;Assists Firm Administrator in planning and coordinating holiday party, happy hours, and staff appreciation lunches._Marketing Functions: _Assists with the firm's website, social media platforms, and other electronic communications;Maintains firm databases utilized for marketing, business development, and public relations, and generate reports as requested;Maintains bar admission and bar association records, and coordinates renewals;Assists with client communications, and the distribution of internal and external communications, including newsletters, client alerts, articles, and announcements;Maintains online and print marketing and business development materials for the firm as well as traditional collateral materials, including PowerPoint presentations; andAssists with firm, client, and business development events.*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*Requires professional appearance and polished phone manner;Requires ability to learn and develop new skills quickly and effectively;Requires ability to adapt to and work within the firm's culture;Requires strong initiative and the ability to prioritize;Requires ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and demanding environment;Requires strong and consistent attention to detail and organizational skills;Requires solid writing and grammar/proofreading skills;Requires excellent communication skills and sound judgment;Requires cooperative, team-based approach to completing tasks;Requires dependable attendance and punctuality.*EXPERIENCE*Requires Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or other applicable degree program;Requires 1+ years of recent, previous Administrative support experience;Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.;Requires basic knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment;Experience in a professional services environment preferred.Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Parental leave* Vision insuranceSchedule:* Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:* Baltimore, MD 21202: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:* Marketing: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
