We're looking for motivated, engaged people to help make everyone's journeys better.Main Duties and Responsibilities:A cents € cents Ensures quality production standards are maintained for all accountsA cents € cents Responsible for obtaining control sheets and making assignments for team drivers to flights dailyA cents € cents Checks dock area to ensure that employees have required equipment and that trucks leave according to scheduled dock departureA cents € cents Checks that all teams are catering correct aircraft and flightsA cents € cents Ensures that all employees are in compliance with safety procedures and Airport Transport Authority badging requirementsA cents € cents Works with management staff to improve performance of the unitA cents € cents Assists teams with late flights and equipment changesA cents € cents Responsible for getting information from airlines on service requirements and updatesA cents € cents Maintains radio contact with Operations Manager, meal planer and leads during operationA cents € cents Conducts regular checks of the kitchen to ensure no equipment was left behind after flights leave the kitchenA cents € cents Responsible for security and proper transportation of galleys and maintaining cleanliness of vehiclesA cents € cents Responsible for safety, quality and compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.A cents € cents Ensures specifications, airline diagrams, and other standards are accurate according to the airline specifications.A cents € cents Ensures that all products are coded according to Gate Gourmet procedures.A cents € cents Works with maintenance staff to ensure preventive maintenance of machinery and fleet according to schedules, reports maintenance and repair issues in timely manner.A cents € cents Maintains Company policies and procedures as well as specification books for airline customersA cents € cents Maintains all financial goals related to material, productivity, overtime, and labor goalsA cents € cents Prepares management reports (ex. attendance, HAACCP and labor) as required.A cents € cents Responsible for supervising drivers and driver assistantsA cents € cents Responsible for performance evaluation, coaching, counseling and preparing corrective action for employees and liaises appropriately with HR and other support functions.A cents € cents Manages work flow balancing - - the division of responsibilities amongst employees on each shift including assignment of responsibilities and workstations.A cents € cents Manages daily manpower planning including assignment of responsibilities and workstations.A cents € cents Determines when and whether to call employees in to cover staffing needs (ex. sick calls, vacation relief, medical leaves, volume changes, etc.)A cents € cents In conjunction with department leaders determines number of employees needed by shiftA cents € cents Ensures compliance with company Wage & Hour policy, including ensuring employees get the rest & meal breaks and ensuring company processes are followed.A cents € cents Trains and monitors employees on proper work procedures to ensure maximum productivity with minimum labor and food expenses.A cents € cents Monitors daily manpower planning and schedules employees.A cents € cents Responsible for employee retention and reducing employee turnover.A cents € cents Responsible for coaching, counseling and preparing corrective actions for employees in compliance with the applicable union/collective bargaining agreement(s).A cents € cents Reviews and ensures employees in chain of command are in correct cost centers and correct job titles.A cents € cents Reviews and ensures union represented employees' pay rates are correct based on wage scales and seniority.A cents € cents (note: this should only apply to OP73 and OP78) Ensures employees complete all company required training including but not limited to ServSafeA cents € cents Compliance with all company required policies, procedures and processes including but not limited to required trainingQualificationsEducation:A cents € cents High School Diploma or GED required.A cents € cents Associates degree preferred. Work Experience:A cents € cents 2+ years supervisory experience working in a high volume, manufacturing, food production, and restaurant or catering environment or equivalent experience in the related field preferredTechnical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)A cents € cents Must have strong and effective leadership skills, and the ability to successfully manage a staff of 30+ hourly employees.A cents € cents Current or previous labor relations experience is a plus, but not required.A cents € cents Candidate must be comfortable with all levels of employees and have the ability to drive positive program change.A cents € cents Ability to train others required.A cents € cents Must have the ability to give negative and positive feedback to employees on a daily basis.A cents € cents Excellent time management skills required.
