Award-winning interior design firm located in Silver Spring Maryland we are seeking an individual responsible for finance and bookkeeping functions for multiple business entities. The position is part-time and must be able to work during normal business hours.*Office Manager/Experienced Bookkeeper Responsibilities and Duties: *Candidate will perform all day to day bookkeeping functions in Quick Books, to include multi-company transactions and accounting, general ledger entry and tracking, and accounts payable and receivable responsibilities lite HR skills. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Construction bookkeeping is a MUST* Performing monthly cost reviews;* Coordinating year-end audit functions with external auditing/accounting firms and providing annual 1099 filings;* Work with outside CPA firm on tax prep;* Providing project cost analysis and monitoring cash flow* Reconciling bank and credit card statements;* Reviewing budget and contract agreements;* Providing financial information to lenders and investors;* Managing paper and digital file maintenance; and* Coordinating third party payroll and assisting with human resources and/or benefits management.*Our Ideal Office Manager/Experienced Bookkeeper Candidate Possesses: ** Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks (QuickBooks certification a plus);* Knowledge of SOV* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (drop down list, pivot tables, etc.);* Basic IT knowledge;* 3- 4 years of bookkeeper and/or finance experience;* A professional appearance;* Incredible organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills* Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with customers* A keen attention to detail, the ability to multitask and work independently; and* A "can-do"A' attitude, a willingness to have fun, and the ability to not take themselves too seriously!*Work Location: On location ONLY*Job Type: Part-timePay: From $25.00 per hourSchedule:* Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:* Silver Spring, MD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Application Question(s):* Do you own a car?Education:* Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:* Bookkeeping: 3 years (Preferred)* Accounting: 4 years (Preferred)License/Certification:* Driver's License (Preferred)Work Location: One location
