Assist in the repair, installation and maintenance of all plant equipment and buildings.2. Demonstrate consistent improvement in knowledge and skills as outlined in the criteria for advancement.3. Report any equipment or building condition requiring repair to the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead person.4. Perform minor preventive maintenance procedures as required.5. Complete all documentation as required by the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead person.6. Position requires lifting and handling of heavy objects.7. Adheres to all common safety practices or rules including the wearing of protective equipment as required.8. Adheres to our plant hygiene standards to insure high product integrity.9. Keeps work area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.10. Assist other mechanics in maintaining high level of productivity in the plant.11. Develop ability to use the computerized maintenance management system to enter work request and retrieve data on plant equipment.12. Company will furnish basic tools as needed to perform job.13. Develop an understanding of the safe and proper use of shop equipment and tools.14. Demonstrates basic knowledge of maintenance terminology; to include description of machinery, tools, repair parts, lubricants and fabrication methods.15. Ability to perform basic cutting welding jobs.16. Perform simple 3-phase wiring and learn basic electrical theory.17. Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as: GMPA$ cents A cents ' not A cents " cents s, food safety, product quality, food security, etc.18. Safe operation of forklifts, electric pallet jacks & all industrial man lifts.19.
