Quality Engineer

Job Summary:The Quality Engineer is responsible for the adherence of processes and procedures to the Gelest Quality System by auditing and issuing non-conformances as needed. In addition, the Quality Engineer will work closely with other groups within Gelest to aid in continuous improvement projects.Summary of Essential Tasks:A cents € cents Host customer audits and prepare corrective actions to findings and observations.A cents € cents Conduct internal audits of the Gelest Quality System.A cents € cents Manage the non-conformance/corrective action system.A cents € cents Attend meetings of the Quality Systems Steering Team (QSST) and fulfill responsibilities.A cents € cents Review/sign new batch records.A cents € cents Daily retrieve and log refrigerator/freezer temperatures.A cents € cents Aid in the development of continuous improvement activities.A cents € cents Ensure customer requests related to quality are sent to the appropriate parties and follow up to ensure completion.A cents € cents Manage records and archive files.A cents € cents Maintain ISO 9001 compliance for certification.A cents € cents Assist in the development and execution of six sigma and lean manufacturing projects.A cents € cents Perform statistical and mathematical data analysis related to continuous improvement projectsJob Qualifications:A cents € cents Training in Quality Management or equivalent experience.A cents € cents Technical writing skills.A cents € cents Training as an internal or lead auditor.
