A Grossberg Company LLP client based in the Washington, DC area is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant to support a family-owned real estate investment and development company. This family-owned business manages holdings that include over 2 million square feet of office, retail and multi-family real estate and numerous acres of developable ground in the Mid-Atlantic region and Southern Florida. Our client is poised for growth and is seeking an experienced real estate professional to assist in achieving developmental goals and milestones.Essential Job Duties* Manage incoming phone calls* Organize electronic and paper files* Manage the mail and correspondences* Respond to information requests* Track reporting from third party service providers* Handle insurance claims and associated paperwork* Track real estate tax payments* Maintain office equipment* Create and maintain corporate calendar* Create and administer tenant surveys* Arrange for tenant gifts or promotionsAccounting Support* Invoice Entry* Assist with check processing and wire transfers* Assist with year-end adjustment entries* Assist with year ending closing - providing financial information to accountant/printing 1099* Other ad hoc projectsManagement and Property Support* Verify data in leases and amendments* Track project costs* Prepare reports* Assist in creating presentations for quarterly board meetings* Online research* Track commission paymentsQualified applicants must possess the following skills and experience:* Must possess an associate's degree or equivalent experience* Work experience in the real estate or accounting industry is a plus* Two to four years of experience using Microsoft Office Products, including MS Excel* Experience with MRI is a plus* Must possess a positive and professional demeanor with the ability to interact with principals, property manager, brokers, attorneys and accountants* Must be able to work onsite in North Bethesda a minimum of 40 hours a week*Qualified candidates should apply on-line at Type: Full-time
