Position: On Call House MonitorSchedule: Evening and overnight hours and/or weekend HoursPosition Summary: SMYAL is hiring On Call Housing Monitors for our housing program for youth ages 18-24 who are experiencing homelessness. Possible shifts are available for evening and overnight hours as well as weekend hours.The Housing Monitor position works to ensure that all LGBTQ youth who are residents of the SMYAL Extended Transitional Youth House are safe, supported, monitored and cared for respectfully. This position works with the Case Manager and the Director of Youth Housing to implement tasks, directives, and interventions to assist residents in meeting their case plan goals. The role is essential to ensuring that both residents and SMYAL employees adhere to the program, including the housing rules, policies and regulations. The house monitor is responsible for monitoring the safety and conduct of house residents, and providing clinical and crisis intervention as needed. House Monitors must be able to manage youth ages 18-24, de-escalate any potential conflicts, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.SMYALA$ cents A cents ' not A cents " cents s extended transitional living program is a 2 to 6 year program that seeks to provide its residents with independent living skills and stable permanent housing in the community. This position requires evening and overnight hours or weekend hours, and at times may require work beyond regular office hours or covering shifts for other members of the Housing Monitor team. Holidays are mandatory.
