We work very closely with our various clientele in order to create sustainable solutions and deliver timely and highly effective results.*About the role: *You will serve as Sr. IT Specialist, with responsibilities for planning and coordinating the installation, testing, modifying, upgrading, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software to support MAJCOM and subordinate units. As such, it will be your responsibility to:* Provide technical advice to senior leadership and technical assistance/training to unit personnel.* Analyze processes and problems relative to the design of systems.* Identify system problems that are of an unusual or complex nature and develop corrective action.* Design data products, processes of programs that enhance functional area management and provide for increased organizational optimization of Information Technology (IT) processes.* Oversee the installation and configuration of applications software and the establishment of user environments.* Troubleshoot malfunctions to resolve physical and logical processing problems and recommend acquisition of equipment; software/ hardware which will resolve operational problems.* Continually monitor/survey systems operation to identify and anticipate potential problems which could lead to system integrity loss or serious service interruption.* Identify corrective or preventative procedures and take actions to rectify immediate problems and prevent future occurrences.* Develop proposals to enhance operational use of systems hardware and software and keeps abreast of technological advances to ensure continued optimum service.* Apply innovative techniques and seasoned judgment to assist leadership in identifying areas where IT systems can reduce or eliminate labor and time intensive manual processes.* Manage installation of system patches and enhancements/updates and ensure systems integrity is not compromised.* Develop documentations and procedures for account establishment, system maintenance and system recovery standard operating procedures (SOP).* Ensure maintenance and upgrade procedures are established in such a way to minimize disruption to normal business functions of organizations within the installation.* Provide proactive consultation and instruction with system users to ensure seamless implementation and deployment of changes.* Serve as a senior advisor to lower graded specialist engaged in similar responsibilities.* Create detailed written plans, reports briefing, etc., to support mission tasks and develop and implement business processes that improves or enhances IT system support and capabilities.*Qualifications: ** Active Secret (or TS) Clearance* 5+ years of IT experience, familiar with Active Directory, DOD network environment, and Remedy* Security + (the appropriate Information Assurance certification in accordance with DODI 8750.1M/814)* Attention to detail, with the ability to identify & resolve problems and recommend solutions* Ability to provide written and oral communication to management and customers* Assist network enterprise user in effective application of network capabilities providing on-site/remote customer service support as needed* Configuring and installing operating system software, patches, upgrades and system modification as required to meet AR25-1 standards* Analyzing, identifying, troubleshooting, implementing and deploying solutions for hardware and software systems with minimum service impacts* Willingness to work as a trusted team member, train peers, and transfer knowledge for the good of the mission, recommend best practice resolution techniques*Our ideal candidate will also possess (desired, not required): ** Unix Administration/Oracle background* SQL server familiarity* Script writing* SharePoint familiarity* Office 365 familiarity* Mobility Expertise, ie Telecommunications Service Control Officer (TSCO); knowledge working with MobileIron & Purebred*What we offer: ** Competitive compensation including annual salary based upon relevant experience and education* Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare insurance, paid vacation and holidays, matching 401k plan, and much moreJob Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Professional development assistance* Vision insuranceSchedule:* Day shift* Monday to FridaySupplemental pay types:* Bonus payAbility to commute/relocate:* Fort Belvoir, VA 22060: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Application Question(s):* When would you be available for a 30 minute introductory interview?
