*OB FUNCTION: *Assist in the completion of various accounting functions as delegated by the Accounting Manager.*TASKS / DUTIES: ** Review / update and maintain Collections Master List daily.* Review / update and maintain Customer Aging Report / FO daily.* Distribute Collections Master List to PMs weekly.* Establish contact with customers regarding account balances and invoices.* Research and report on open invoice status.* Resolve invoice disputes and delinquent payment issues.* Responsible for customer specific / online billing / data entry / problem solving / research on customer accounts* Assist with credit / rebill process.* Reduce DSO // Eliminate bad debt.* Provide support for cash applications.* Provide support for credit card transactions.* Assist in month end closing.* Assist in financial audit.* Report AR status and plan of action to Accounting Mgr weekly.* Act as backup for various Accounting functions.* Misc tasks as assigned by Accounting Manager.*TIMELINE: ** Collections review and updates - Daily.* Invoice distribution / online submittals / data entry A$ cents A cents ' not A cents € oe Weekly.* Collections Master List to PMs A$ cents A cents ' not A cents € oe Each Friday.*OFFICE ETIQUETTE: ** Employee must be on time to work and adhere to current schedule.* Employee must schedule vacation around financial deadlines unless otherwise approved by Management.* Employee must refrain from cell phone usage and / or personal calls except on break or lunch.* Employee must refrain from personal internet usage except on break or lunch.* Employee must maintain a professional and positive attitude and promote teamwork at all times.* Employee must provide clear and concise communication at all times.* Employee must maintain confidentiality of accounting, HR and personnel information.*Requirements: *4 years Accounting experience, preferable AR/CollectionsStrong data entryStrong MS Excel: formulas and spreadsheets, pivot tables a plusStrong Communication skills: Verbal and writtenCritical Thinking A$ cents A cents ' not A cents € oe problem solving skillsResearch skills to research AR discrepanciesGenuine Customer Service AttitudeProven ability to work independently and productively in a deadline -driven environmentJob Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $28.85 - $31.50 per hourBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:* Centreville, VA 20121: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:* Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* CPA (Preferred)Work Location: Hybrid remote in Centreville, VA 20121
