*Tchaya Health Care Services, Inc. (THS)* is actively seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Our ideal candidates will be working with and providing person-centered support to individuals who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a group home setting.*Schedule: **Monday & Wednesday (11AM-3PM)**TUESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY (12PM-5PM)**30 hours a week.**LOCATION: CENTERBORO DRIVE VIENNA VA, 22181**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *1. Implement and follow the policies and procedures of the company.2. Engage or assist in the person-centered care, training, and rehabilitation of individuals.3. Teach or assist individual with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming and other self-care skills.4. Observe the rights and personal dignity of others.5. Ensure that all progress notes, behavior data sheets, overnight sleep charts, and incident reportsare completed by the end of the shift.6. Observe record and report individuals' behavior, attitude and physical condition.7. Documents all program data, including but not limited to: individual plan data, behavior plandata, community integration logs, assessments, individual funds requests, mileage logs,maintenance requests forms, and supply acquisition forms.8. Documents individual's health (ie seizure charts, weight, bowel movements, fluid intake.).9. Ensures that all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.10. Assists individuals when entering and exiting vehicles while on community outings, as well asentering and exiting the building safely.11. Maintain effective working relationships with individuals and other employees.12. maintain healthy and safe environments for the individuals and other employees13. Make sure that all grocery are label and properly put away14. Ensure that laundry are done on time and neatly put away.15. Attending all schedule meetings/training for the wellbeing of the company.*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** Good oral and written communication skills; enjoys working with all people; knowledge anddemonstrated experience working with developmental disability;* At least 18 years of age;* Education equivalent to graduation from high school;* One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in the care, training,rehabilitation and development of the developmental disability individual in a Group Home.* Must have CPR and First-Aid, TB test or Chest X-Ray.*Working Conditions: *DSPs work in a changing environment that adjusts to the needs of the individuals in program services. The environment may be fast-paced with interruptions, distractions and deadlines. DSPs need to be flexible and be able to adjust to changing needs or activities. Depending on the needs of the individuals, the work can be physically demanding including transferring or supporting people with mobility needs, lifting or moving items up to 50 lbs., walking or standing for extended periods of time or providing support through CPR/First Aid, behavioral support, and other interventions.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, ContractPay: $18.00 - $18 per hourCOVID-19 considerations:All candidates are required to wear a mask.
