We are seeking a Business Development Executive for the Federal Civilian (FedCiv) Division. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the management and business development of the pipeline supporting the VP/GM of the FedCiv Division, following guidance from the Senior Vice President of Growth.Ideally the candidate will be located in the Northern Virginia/Washington DC metropolitan area although consideration will be given to candidates located in other areas and willing to travel on a regular basis to Washington DC.The candidate should be well versed in the Shipley Business Development Lifecycle Model and have a track record of winning Full and Open, competitive opportunities within Federal Civilian Agencies. The opportunities should fall within the specialties of DevSecOps, Software, IT modernization, Managed Services, Cyber, or Cloud modernization.The candidate should have experience with business development supporting the Department of Treasury, Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, or Department of Justice.Responsibilities include:* Develop and execute Belcan Government Solutions annual operating plan and strategic growth initiatives.* Develop and maintain market plans for the Federal Civil Agencies within the identified technology areas.* Identify new business opportunities within the targeted customer organizations through research, networking, and strategic teaming.* Identify, qualify, and support capture of new business within the targeted organizations utilizing the company business acquisition process (based on the Shipley model). This includes developing gate reviews, maintaining the accuracy of the Salesforce tool, and briefing leadership.* Build a pipeline of addressable opportunities, prime and sub, covering a 5-year period, with a goal of $500M in opportunities per year.* Develop and brief a focused and actionable account plan to business leadership; identify resources to achieve plan.* Conduct research utilizing commercial tools as well as personal knowledge of customer opportunities.* Develop and present detailed opportunity reviews (gate reviews) with detail adequate to facilitate sound pursuit decisions.* Work closely with other business development managers, program management, product line management, engineering and other core functional leaders across the segment and corporate organizational structure.* Accurate and timely tracking of business opportunities and customer contacts via customer relationship management (CRM) software (Currently Salesforce).*Qualifications** A BachelorA$ cents A cents ' not A cents " cents s Degree with a minimum of 10 years of business development experience.* Track record of winning contract awards within the FedCiv IT/Cyber market that are Full and Open opportunities ie not Small Business Set-Asides.* In depth knowledge of Federal Government FAR requirements and acquisition processes.* Deep understanding of targeted agencies including strategic imperatives and mission priorities.* Extensive contacts and relationships with the targeted agencies and industry partners.* Experience working with Federal Government prime contractors and ability to negotiate teaming.* Ability to translate offerings into solutions to meet the customer mission and requirements.* Excellent communication skills- both written and oral.* Experience developing and winning new business opportunities within the targeted agencies and organizations or recent government experience within the target organizations.* Ability to travel up to 25% (dependent upon location).* Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, collaboration and cross functional leadership skills.* US Citizenship required.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Employee discount* Flexible schedule* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insuranceSchedule:* Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:* Sterling, VA 20166: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sterling, VA 20166
